Reviews policy

As is hopefully obvious, The Dreaded Press is a music reviews site, first and foremost.

Of course, that means different things to different people. The pages listed here should go some way to explaining:

  • what we review, and what we mean by ‘rock and metal’;

  • why we review, and why we believe it’s not just a form of intellectual masturbation by failed musicians and wanna-bes (really); and

  • how we review, why we don’t believe in telling you what to think, and why we believe quality descriptive writing is a good thing not just for the listener but for the music industry itself.

You’re free to disagree with any of these statements, naturally, and we don’t mind you saying so – in fact we encourage it. But please make a point of reading the comments policy before you do so, because we’d hate for you to be offended if we have to treat you like a fool without you knowing why we’ve done it.

If you’d like to tell us how utterly wrong we are without going public with your opinion, there’s always the contact form.

Enjoy!
