Cleveland metalheads Chimaira are finally touring Europe in support of their latest album Resurrection, and there are seven UK dates on the itinerary.
Chimaira released Resurrection - their fourth, but their first on Nuclear Blast Records - back in March of 2007, but burned themselves out with relentless touring to the point of having to cancel a slew of dates that autumn.
We must presume Chimaira recovered sufficiently to face the task of crawling around the continent in a tour-bus, as they’re currently doing exactly that - and they’ll be hand-delivering their lead-heavy metal with support from Maroon and The Sparrow on the following dates:
- 3 April - Norwich, Waterfront
- 4 April - Sheffield, Corporation
- 5 April - Glasgow, Ivory Black’s
- 6 April - Bristol, Bierkeller
- 7 April - Manchester, Jilly’s Rockworld
- 8 April - Nottingham, Rock City
- 9 April - London, Carling Academy (Islington)
If you’re not sure whether you fancy it or not, you can get a feel for the material on Resurrection by popping over to Chimaira’s MySpace page, and there’s loads more stuff at the band’s official website.
