New York prog-rock legends Coheed And Cambria are releasing their new single “Feathers” on 10th March - but you can see the video for the song right here, right now.
“Feathers” is taken from Coheed And Cambria’s recent album No World For Tomorrow, which completes the mammoth conceptual saga of the Amory Wars, a vast but coherent story about the brothers Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon that is told across four full studio albums, as well as comic books created by vocalist Claudio Sanchez.
As such, I’m not sure how much sense of the story you’ll get from “Feathers” taken in isolation. Furthermore, I’m not sure whether the Coheed And Cambria gang intended the video to illustrate the story in any particular way.
But one thing’s for sure, though - it’s a video that vegetarians will delight in reminding their carnivore friends about:
(Sorry about the weird player, but they blocked embedding on the YouTube version. Go figure.)
“Feathers” arrives in UK record shops on 10th March backed up with ten (10!) live versions of the track, each recorded at a different venue of the UK leg of the Kerrang tour that Coheed And Cambria featured on.
In the meantime, you can investigate their prog mysteries at the Coheed And Cambria website, and I’m sure they’d be really grateful if you’d friend ‘em on MySpace.
