London electro-rock outfit DORP are doing a tour with a difference - in addition to playing music venues by night, they’re appearing at music colleges by day.
Evidently big believers in the idea of “paying it forward”, DORP are taking the industry experience they’ve picked up along the way and sharing it with the next generation of musicians.
Their live shows in the evening will doubtless feature the imminent single “Rollercoaster” (which you can hear on DORP’s MySpace page), as well as other tracks from their forthcoming album Humans Being, which has been produced by the same Dave McCraken (who has twisted the knobs for Depeche Mode) and is due for release in the summer.
You can catch the DORP live experience at the following venues:
- 18th March - Norwich, The Waterfront
- 19th March - Blackburn, The Cellar Bar
- 24th March - Lincoln, The Cell
- 2nd April - Warrington, WA1
- 9th April - Birmingham, Hare and Hounds
- 21st April - Southend, Chinnerys
- 22nd April - Bristol, The Croft
- 23rd April - Manchester, The Roadhouse
- 10th May - York, Tap & Spile
More dates will likely be added in the future, so keep an eye on the official DORP website … and don’t forget you can hear “Rollercoaster” and some other tracks on their MySpace page as well.
