innerpartysystem touring late June, releasing “Don’t Stop” single

June 4th, 2008 by The Editor

innerpartysystemElectronic rock outfit innerpartysystem are so new that last time I mentioned them I didn’t even realise their name has no spaces or capitals - avant garde or what? On that last mention, the band were doing one of those so-called tours where they hardly leave London; this month coming, they’re trekking a bit further afield into the UK hinterlands.

Fair’s fair, innerpartysystem are a new band from Stateside, and touring the UK ain’t cheap. This time they have the convenient excuse of a single to plug - “Don’t Stop” comes out on the 30th of June, just as the festival season kicks off properly … let’s hope the weather stays nice for them, eh?

So, those tour dates, then - you can catch the innerpartysystem experience at the following venues:

  • 26th June - Liverpool Barfly
  • 27th June - Swansea Club NME @ Sin City
  • 28th June - Hull Club NME @ The Welly Club
  • 29th June - Glasgow Kings Tuts
  • 3rd July - London The Scala
  • 4th July - London Club NME @ Koko

Well, at least they’re touring outside of London, but as per usual the south coast might as well not exist. And you Northerners say we get all the breaks! No innerpartysystem for us, it seems.

What’s that you say? Oh, yes - now you mention it, there’s a video for the “Don’t Stop” single. Take a look:

Techno meets rock, but not in the usual way … should be interesting to see where this lot end up heading. In the meantime, you can catch some more tunes at the obligatory MySpace page, and there’s an innerpartysystem website for grown-ups, too.
