Metal Blade slices into the UK metal market

April 28th, 2008 by The Editor

Metal Blade Records logoVeteran metal label Metal Blade Records have gone all regional on our British butts and set up a localised UK version of their website.

Credit where it’s due, Metal Blade use websites well; you can watch high quality videos of songs by Metal Blade artists, read biographies and tour rosters, download band logos … and buy records, naturally.

Quite why they felt the need to produce this version is unclear, though, as it seems to be identical to the German iteration; the only difference is the domain name, as far as I can tell. But Metal Blade have done the same for all the major national markets, so I guess we should feel flattered they care enough to bother.

Metal Blade are all over MySpace like a rash, too … and they’ve got their own YouTube channel. I would embed you something to watch here, but they evidently want to keep the traffic local. *shrugs*
