This spring saw the return of Sweden’s melodic punk maestros Millencolin with Machine 15, their first album in nearly three years. This autumn sees them coming to the UK for a short string of dates to support the album.
Another of modern punk’s quiet success stories, Millencolin have shifted millions of albums without ever becoming a household name or a fixture on daytime radio playlists. Like many other bands of a similar stature, their reputation is at least partly founded on their solid live shows.
So here’s your chance to catch them in action! You can get the full Millencolin experience on the following UK tour dates:
- 23rd Sept - Birmingham, Academy
- 24th Sept - Bristol, Academy
- 25th Sept - London, LA 2
- 26th Sept - Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms
- 27th Sept - Nottingham, Rock City
- 28th Sept - Manchester, Academy 3
- 29th Sept - Glasgow, Garage
Just in case you want a taster of the new material before making your mind up, here’s Millencolin’s video for “Detox”, the first single from Machine 15:
Good stuff, no? There’s more tunes at the MySpace, and there’s a nice Millencolin website for grown-ups, too.
