Sun Eats Hours announce Ten Years career retrospective album and DVD

March 11th, 2008 by The Editor

Sun Eats Hours - Ten YearsItalian mavens of melodic hardcore Sun Eats Hours are celebrating a decade of punk decadence by releasing a career retrospective album entitled, imaginatively enough, Ten Years.

Released on Rude Records, Ten Years will feature fifteen tracks from Sun Eats Hours‘ back catalogue, plus two previously unreleased tracks (“Friends” and “Ten Years”), one track that has only been released in Japan so far (“Faded Away”), and a live rendition of fan favourite “The Same Devils” for an hour of music in total.

The DVD will feature footage of Sun Eats Hours playing live, as well as the obligatory backstage antics and ten episodes that document the day to day life of an independent rock band. So I guess we can expect some great footage of laundrettes and motorway services! :)

In case you’ve never heard of Sun Eats Hours, they come with a stamp of approval, having supported the likes of The Offspring, Pennywise and NOFX - three bands who know good melodic punk rock when they hear it.

But if you want to try before you buy, you can check out some of their tunes on MySpace or head over to the Sun Eats Hours website - both of which, we are reliably informed, are about to be revamped and relaunched at the end of this week. So don’t make any snap judgements based on the decor, OK?

Ten Years by Sun Eats Hours will be released on 9th May 2008.
