The title says it all, ladies and gents - first-generation thrash legends Testament are doing a signing session in London on 17th June.
It’s due to start at 6pm, but I’m willing to bet there’ll be a queue, so head down early. You need to get yourself to Oxford Street, Westminster, then find the Zavvi store (aka: the new super-stupid name for Virgin Megastores!!1). Unless you arrive very early indeed, you’ll probably be able to spot it by the queue of people with long hair and Testament T-shirts …
The way these things usually work, you’ll need to buy a copy of the new album if you want to get anything signed. Luckily The Formation Of Damnation is a pretty good effort, especially compared against most of their contemporaries … and I didn’t notice Testament stamping their feet in a hissy fit over an average review and then blaming it on their management, either. Bam!
In case you need further convincing, or you just want to indulge in a bit of late eighties Bay Area nostalgia done by the originators, here’s Testament in a slightly cheesy but nonetheless classic video for the groovacious “Souls Of Black”:
Ah, those were the days … Testament are on pretty much every social networking site there is, but MySpace is still (regrettably) the standard. Luckily there’s links to all the others and loads of other gubbins at the grown-up’s Testament website.
