You must have been sleeping under a very large rock to not notice Funeral For A Friend requesting the honour of your presence at the filming shoot for the video to new single “Waterfront Dance Club”; whether you remember it or not, it appears the results are out.
I didn’t go myself, but it looks like a lot of people materialised for their shot at immortality. Personally, I’d have been a bit disappointed to have travelled all that way only to discover that Funeral For A Friend’s video people couldn’t think of anything more imaginative to do with me than get me to stand in a circle of other people around the band while they play the track.
But I am old and cynical, and I don’t think Funeral For A Friend are all that and a bag of chips, either. These people, I’m sure, would disagree with me on that last point (not to mention many others):
And a good time was had by all, no doubt. It’s not the most exciting video ever, but then “Waterfront Dance Club” isn’t the most exciting song ever, either - however, your mileage may vary. If you like it, you can buy it as a download on 14th July.
Feel free to nose around the Funeral For A Friend website, but be warned that their MySpace page has more than the usual amount of flashy OMGWTFBBQLOL gubbins and has actually caused my browser to crash twice in the space of ten minutes.
