Business is booming for Glaswegian emo outfit Twin Atlantic; fresh from a tour supporting Finch, June sees them rolling around the country in the company of We Are The Ocean and Say Anything as they prepare for the release of their “I Cave In” single later in the summer.
Twin Atlantic’s home-brewed brand of punk includes their natural Scots accents alongside glistening guitar melodies a la Circa Survive. “I Cave In” is taken from their recent album A Guidance From Colour.
You can catch Twin Atlantic at the following dates, the first of which is a free show:
- 3rd June - LONDON Metro (XFM City Showcase, free show with We Are The Ocean)
- 4th June - NEWCASTLE, Academy 2 (this and subsequent dates with Say Anything)
- 5th June - GLASGOW, ABC2
- 7th June - MANCHESTER, Academy 3
- 9th June - BIRMINGHAM, Barfly
- 10th June - LONDON, Kings College
There’s no website as yet, but you can check out some free tunes on Twin Atlantic’s MySpace page … which is where I found this video of them doing some sort of acoustic version for what appears to be a radio show:
Hmm. I think maybe Twin Atlantic are one of those bands who come across better when fully amped up. Why not go catch ‘em live and decide for yourself?
