Hey, d’you remember me mentioning Norwegian songstress Ida Maria a few weeks back? Well, they’ve released the video for her forthcoming single, “Stella”.
“Stella” will be Ida Maria’s first ‘proper’ single - the previous two were released as limited runs on her own Nesna Records, but she’s now been snapped up by Waterfall/RCA.
Apparently, “Stella” is a story about God handing over the entire world to middle-aged prostitute in exchange for a night of mattress antics with her - so we can only hope the lady in question does a better job of running things!
But whatever - it’s a proper pop song, and Ida’s beautiful broken voice makes it even better. Here’s the video:
