It seems to be video season at the moment - next in line are melancholic Leeds post-rockers iLiKETRAiNS, preparing to release their Elegies To Lessons Learnt film on 21st April.
Elegies To Lessons Learnt will feature music from the iLiKETRAiNS album of the same name, but this self-produced stop-motion animated film is a far cry from the average pop music video, depicting “a bewildered soul as he travels through a series of historical events” as described in the songs.
The DVD will also feature all the “normal” videos for the singles from Elegies To Lessons Learnt, and extra iLiKETRAiNS footage. Here’s the trailer:
Short and simple, but pretty striking, don’t you think?
The new iLiKETRAiNS single “We Go Hunting” - a dark and brutal tune that fits its subject matter, the Salem Witch Trials - is released on the same day as Elegies To Lessons Learnt, in case you want a smaller taste of the band. Personally, I suggest going straight for the video if you have the choice.
You can find out more about the band at the iLiKETRAiNS website, and there’s more tunes to listen to on MySpace.
